I’m Officially A Cat…

Shielynn, our sweet little girl kitty has a problem staying warm.  The little pads of her feet get really cold.  She combines her love for Max A Million with a solution for staying warm – she follows him around and cuddles up to him whenever he takes a nap.

She also has another solution which is to stand on the computer monitor as it is warm over the ventilation area.  She can be seen many times a day hanging out there in order to warm up her tootsies.

For another solution, today Shielynn officially adopted me into the feline race.

Max and Shielynn were cuddled together taking a nap.  Then ole Max A Million decided that he was going to get up and go do something else besides nap.  This is normally the time that Shielynn will wait a few moments, stretch and nonchalantly follow Max around to do what he does.

Today, Shielynn waited the designated moment, got up from her nap and did a marvelous stretch – you know the kind where cats stand on all four legs making the back rise until the cat looks like a “U” shape.

Then she took a few steps over to me, snuggled up, curled into a ball and went on with her nap. 

I wonder, seeing that I’m officially adopted into the feline family, am I suppose to purr?
