It was a good laugh
because of my gaffe

first it was a jiggle
that made me giggle

with great clarity
I saw the hilarity

with eyes lit like glitter
I didn’t restrain my titter

for what it was worth
I couldn’t contain my mirth

Jellied knees buckling
I continued chuckling

down on the floor
I laughed some more

my plan was to beguile
to get you to smile

looks like I got my way
bringing cheer to your day

You’re right, it is fun answering a poem with a poem
It’s certainly not comparable to Jeroboam*

In this situation
it’s more like a causation

that touches the heart
with a creation of art
